West Hampstead Local Library

West Hampstead library offers free loans on a huge selection of books, talking books, DVDs, CDs, and toys. Not only that, you can also call in to read magazines, papers and browse the internet.

As well as all of the above there are activities for children up to the age of 8 on most days of the week. Every Thursday between 11am and 11.30am and then again between 2pm and 2.30pm, you can bring your 0-18 month old baby to Baby Bounce where they can listen to rhymes and songs. On a Friday, West Hampstead library gears itself to entertain children between the ages of 2 and 7. From 10.30am 2-4 year olds can listen to stories and rhymes, and then at 4.15pm stories are read for 5 to 7 year olds.

If your children prefer to get their hands dirty, the Children's Craft Activity Hour on Tuesdays between 4pm and 5pm is the time for children ages 3-8. Younger children are also welcome with supervision from parents or guardians. You can call into the Library to see the children's art work brightening up the walls of the library and best of all, the activities above are completely free!

Residents can gain membership to West Hampstead library easily: all you have to do is bring proof of your name and current address. Children under the age of 18 also need to bring along a signature from a parent or guardian.

The opening hours for West Hampstead library are Monday and Tuesday 10am-7pm, Wednesday Closed, Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday 10am-7pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 11am-4pm.
